Ginger Flower & Food Festival

at The Ginger Factory, 50 Pioneer Rd Yandina

From Friday 19th to Sunday 21st January 2018 the Ginger Factory will burst with color, showcasing an exquisite range of ornamental gingers and heliconia’s, which thrive in the Sunshine Coast’s sub-tropical conditions. A stunning array of over 3000 plants will be available for sale to festival goers. A fantastic line-up of Celebrity Chefs including Matt Golinski and gardening experts including Cath Manuel will be on doing presentations and demonstrations each day of the festival. The festival will celebrate the long Australian history of Buderim Ginger, spanning 75 years. Attendees will also have access to the largest range of Buderim Ginger products, including exclusive lines not available in supermarkets. Samples will also be on offer to tempt taste buds from a variety of stallholders. The 2018 Ginger Flower & Food Festival is a FREE all-weather event that all ages will enjoy!

Saturday 20 January sees the Sunny Coast’s own psych rock kings HOBO MAGIC play at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi for a night of rock n roll, psychedelic madness! The event is a fundraiser for their upcoming tour of Japan (February). Hobo Magic will be supported on the night by The Royal Artillery, The Unknowns, Cloacas and Dear Doonan. Hobo Magic sling out a unique brand of old-school inspired psychedelic rock 'n' roll madness, with love of all things groovy and heavy. The talented trio kick out fresh sounding jams, spawned from the embers of the kings that riffed before them and strive to take the listener on a journey through uncharted places of the mind. After their debut self-titled EP release and subsequent Australian tour in 2015, Hobo Magic have riffed and tripped around many of Australia’s clubs, pubs, bedrooms, skate parks and warehouses, ripping out their style of heavy grooving mayhem.
