Event: 2010 X-Blades National Youth Championships

Australia’s best up-and-coming Touch Football players will be on display as they compete in the 2010 X-Blades National Youth Championships (NYC).
41 teams will compete at the under 18 event, including four teams from New Zealand.
It is the first time that the youth event has been held in Caloundra, following the 2010 X-Blades National Touch League being held at Stockland Park in March this year.
The local hopes, the Sunshine Coast Pineapples, will both be looking to impress in front of a home crowd. After finishing in tenth place in 2009, the Pineapples 18’s Girls side will be the dark horse of the competition and be the team to watch out for.
It will be a big four days of Touch Football action, with plenty happening in addition to the event.
Australia’s Men’s and Women’s National Training Squads will be in attendance on the Friday afternoon to launch Touch Football Australia’s newest program, AusSquad.
The Trends of the Game breakfast will be held on Thursday morning, with Australian coaches presenting the latest topics and information to the public.
