Sculptor, teacher and mentor Dianne Cannon, is a woman whose passion is to create innovative works of excellence and inspire others to awaken the artist within.
Dianne’s love affair with clay sculpture began twelve years ago leading her to exhibit throughout Queensland.
Her sculptures embody form and spirit that invites touch and evokes an emotional response in the viewer.
A successful business woman, Dianne’s skills extend to assisting students in establishing the business of art.
Teaching is also a passion of Dianne's and she conducts two-day sculpting workshops. You do not have to be an artist or have any experience to make a sculpture at the workshops as the form taught is very simplistic and achievable.
Her current project is fuelled by a desire to inspire Aboriginal women to create ‘works of the heart and soul’ and promote a culture of sustainable employment opportunities.
Dianne can also be contacted at her Maple Street store, Rather Bizr, in Maleny. The store stocks natural fibre clothing for men and women, as well as clothing to enhance the fuller figure.
